THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO BUILD BELOVED ECONOMY

In community organizing, we walk the talk of building power through organizing people, ideas, stories, and money.  As consumers, when we don’t support companies whose policies and politics don’t align with ours; that is power.

On February 28, 2025, we shared news of a national purchasing blackout established as a means to raise our voices by closing our wallets. This buying boycott was just one of many ongoing actions across the country in response to corporations rolling back their DEI policies and commitments in the wake of a related Executive Order impacting the federal government.
