Join us on November 14th as we celebrate our network's impact for racial and economic justice and raise critical support for our transformative work rooted in hope.
As we roll deep in the work of civic engagement, community leaders are coming to understand the power of their vote in this season and the power of their voice year round. Amidst all of the headlines, hard truths and often hate filled rhetoric, there is one thing we know for sure....regardless of who leads our nation and state, hope can be found in the power of the people across our network.

CALENDARS
Carry It On is our annual fundraising friendraiser to celebrate MCAN's work to build power and shape a just and equitable future in each of our nine affiliate locations. Join us to meet this year’s Shining Star honoree leaders, and Sen. Liz Miranda, our 2024 Carry It On awardee, and also discover your own role in harvesting hope in your Massachusetts community.
The Honorable Liz Miranda is a community organizer, former youth worker, and entrepreneur who first ran for office in 2018 after gun violence took the life of her brother. She was propelled to run for public office in order to center those who the government has left out from critical conversations impacting their lives and livelihoods. She went on to serve as a State Representative between 2019-2023 at which time she was then elected Senator. Senator Miranda continues to be a tireless fighter for her constituents and families across the Commonwealth. A long time partner of MCAN and advocate for the work of our Boston based youth affiliate, I Have A Future, we are delighted to honor Senator Liz Miranda with the 2024 Carry It On Award for her ongoing work for and commitment to funding for youth jobs and reentry programs.
