The World We Are Working For

We believe in community that is united, but not uniform. Our uniqueness is our most treasured attribute. Everyone belongs. We elevate the gifts within each other, calling them forth to their highest manifestation. They create a fabric of community that gathers across generations, faith practices, culture, race and ethnicity, and unites us as a people. We approach each other with integrity in all moments, driven by radical love. When one of us succeeds, we celebrate together. And when one of us hurts, we gather around and heal each other. We embrace community health expressed through time to rest, play, dance, sing and care for each other.

We believe in a communal economy. Our deep loving commitment to each other means people are more important than the structures of our economy. Everyone’s unique contributions to the world are equally valued with our gifts and talents making up a co-owned and multi-form economy where we all thrive. Because we value this, we ensure a life free of burden through structural self-correction.

We believe our future generations belong to all of us.  We wrap ourselves around all youth, providing for, and participating in their future-present. We invest in their dreams, gifts and talents. All paths of education are accessible and communally resourced. Educators, bringing these talents, reflect the community from which they come.  Each community brings their collective wisdom to educate their youth, ensuring that community needs will continue to be met while also creating space to learn from the youth.

We believe in communal power that informs a moral government with moral responsibility. All layers of government will have systems and structures that create equitable participation in the decisions that impact our lives. The entire community will have agency, access, and voice in how government is formed, run, and funded. All decisions for us will be made by us. The government will exist to ensure the community thrives.

We believe in the restoration of community. When the sacredness of community is broken, we practice communal accountability that is led and driven by our radical love for each other. It always errs on the side of restoration, reconciliation and healing. We collectively hold responsibility for each others safety and protection, including the environments in which we are shaped and formed. By extension, above all else and in all moments, we respect each others’ dignity and remember that no one is disposable.

We believe in the sacredness of each person’s body. Agency over our body is essential to us being our full and authentic selves. We have the authority to determine our path of care and access to it. As a community, we hold each other in these moments of need, ensuring a holistic approach devoid of stigma that allows us to thrive.

We believe earth is a gift and we treasure it. We respect it, take care of it and ensure that there is access for all. We accept our solemn responsibility to safeguard it for future generations. It is our communal wealth.

We believe in the gift of abundance. The earth is the place from which our abundance first manifests and provides us with more than enough. The truth of abundance is what makes our words not just a vision but a tangible reality.  Our cumulative light, acted out in our individual capacities as weavers, healers, and drivers will reorient the world’s abundance. It is within our grasp.
