The Biden-Harris administration and Congress must address the most serious recession since the Great Depression and provide a comprehensive COVID and economic recovery package. In partnership with our national partner, Faith In Action, we believe the legalization of immigrant workers, including a path to citizenship, should be a component of the legislation being drafted at this time to bridge this chasm. We know from our commitment throughout the Commonwealth, these workers are key to the health and safety of all Americans during the pandemic, the economic recovery of the country and will contribute billions in GDP.
